Sulfamethoxazole 800mg/Trimethoprim160mg 

Drug Facts: Sulfur-based antibiotics were among the first to be discovered. This drug combines two sulfur-based antibiotics to increase bacteria-killing power. Sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim are effective against a wide range of bacteria families.

Uses: indicated for infections of the urinary tract, ear, and respiratory tract. Food poisoning from shigellosis, E. Coli, Enterobacter, and salmonella.

Warnings: Don't take if you are allergic to sulfur. Drink plenty of fluids, stay out of sunlight, and take until you finish the course of therapy.
