Drug Facts: This antibiotic belongs to the family of fluoroquinolone antibiotics. 

Uses: Infections of the urinary tract, bone, abdomen, prostate, skin, respiratory tract, and cat scratch disease, human and animal bite wounds, cholera, endocarditis, plague, anthrax, chancroid disease, infectious diarrhea.

Warnings: Sunlight Warning: Stay out of the sun (use SPF 50 sunscreen). Need heavy water intake (at least 8 glasses per day), and no antacids or vitamins within 3 hours of taking ciprofloxacin. Do not take this antibiotic for extended periods.
