Drug Facts: This is a broad spectrum antibiotic belonging to the same family as erythromycin, the macrolides.

Uses: infections of the ear, skin, community-acquired pneumonia, cholera, pharyngitis, gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Lyme disease, traveler's diarrhea, pertussis, infectious diarrhea, Cat Scratch disease.

Precaution: Avoid if you have liver disease.
